Bike portion of Draft Transportation Management Plan (TMP) for BRAC-133 at Mark Center

John,
Since the building is still being built, it may have been more correct for
USACE to write that, "plans include for availability of showers on site...",
etc. Of much more concern, is that with all the extra traffic coming in and
out of the Mark Center, how will cyclists cross Seminary or Beauregard
safely? When last I checked with the Pentagon Athletic Center staff, they
knew nothing about real plans to have an annex at the new facility
(unofficial).
Also, since everybody knows that even the most dedicated cyclist will need
to *occasionally* drive a car, what are they doing to make it possible for
bike commuters to park, from time to time? It is irresponsible to say that
since x number of employees will bike to work, that the road network
can accommodate x number fewer cars. That only dismisses the problem of
having no REAL public transportation plan available.
