The new PEDEGO electric bikes -- introduced to the DC area on Earth Day -- will be on display at Bike to Work Day on May 21 and Bike DC on May 23.
 
This new technology promises to double the number of people who can bicycle in the DC area.
Every additional electric bicycle is one less car!
 
The bikes can go up to 20 miles on one charge, and their maximum speed is 20 MPH.  
 
One of Pedego's models, the patented Umbrella Folding Bike, folds up in one second. When folded, Umbrella Folding Bikes are small enough to carry in the trunk of a car, store in a closet, or roll onto a train.
