Tom Bowden and Sheryl Finucane will present a webinar on the basics of bike commuting. The webinar will introduce the participant to the basics of commuting by bike including practical tips for choosing a route, carrying essential gear, cleaning up, bike parking, as well as the rules of the road and road safety tips. 

Tom is a corporate attorney with Sands Anderson PC and an avid bike commuter. He is a co-founder and general counsel to CyCor Sports cycling team and club, and a board member of BikeWalk Virginia. He is also a 1994 Team RAAM (Race Across America) finisher, completing the course in 5 days and 22 hours. 

Sheryl is an Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy at Virginia Commonwealth University, a lifelong cyclist, and also an avid bike commuter. She is a League of American Bicyclists Cycling Instructor, a board member of the Virginia Cycling Federation and the Richmond Area Bicycling Association, and a chair of the RABA Safety Committee. She is also a committee member of the George Washington Regional Bicycling Commission and Pedestrian Advisory Committee.
