Hi All,

The latest on the 3 Feet passing bill is up on the VA Bicycling Federation
site:  http://www.vabike.org/

 From the site:

   - HB1048 Following too Close & 3 Foot Passing is on the Docket
   for House Transportation Sub-Committee 2 Wed. @ 5 p.m.

   - please make some calls or Emails supporting it. All phone
   #?s are 804 area code at their General Assembly offices

   - With only 7 on the sub committee, I think it is permissible
   for you to call the one geographically closest to you, urging
   them to support the change of passing distance from 2 feet to
   3 feet.

   - Northern VA: Thomas Rust (Herndon) 698-1086,
   deltrust at house.virginia.gov

Dear Delegate Rust,

I am a resident of northern Virginia and am writing to ask that you
support HB1048 "Following too Close & 3 Foot Passing."   As Virginia
moves towards multi-modal transport (our economy needs better
transportation to give us more commerce without more automobiles), we
need to look out for the safety of pedestrians and cyclists.
HB1048 will be a positive step forward.
