Bike Summit

I am again coordinating all the Virginia lobby visits
on Capitol Hill for the National Bike Summit.  Nearly
all will be held on Thursday, March 15, but Tim Aiken
in Jim Moran's office has often asked us to meet with
him on a different day.  That's been fine with me,
because attending up to 13 lobby visits in a single
day can be exhausting.

I will post a message to this list once a visit with
Jim Moran's office has been scheduled.  Meanwhile, I
welcome input on Eighth District bicycle and
pedestrian issues for discussion, including concerns
with the Mt Vernon Trail and the Woodrow Wilson Bridge
project.

Regardless of when the meeting with Jim Moran's staff
happens, you need not register for the Bike Summit to
participate in that meeting.  Informed Alexandria
advocates are most welcome and help demonstrate local
interest and support.
