NEW ON THE WALKArlington WEBSITE!!!
WALKArlington INITIATIVES IN CIP PROPOSAL By far the biggest news this month is the $10.2 million proposed by the County Manager for Capitol Improvement Project initiatives, ranging from the development of the Arterial Transportation Management program and the continuance of the Neighborhood Traffic Calming program to further enhancements to Arlington's trails, bikeways, and transit system.
BALLSTON PILOT STUDY Ballston is an area of Arlington where a LOT of walking happens--by day and by night. A study commissioned by the County to look at ways to improve the environment for walkers produced a report, "Ballston Sector Central Area Study: Pedestrian and Place-Making Improvements" by Charles Zucker ofLee and Associates, is now available in its entirety on the web.
