Virginia Chapter IV Police Unity Tour Ride

Monday, May 10.  On May 10, ten members of the Alexandria Bicycle
Patrol Unit, along with over 200 officers from this region will be
participating in the Virginia Chapter IV Police Unity Tour Ride.
This 250 mile ride starts in Virginia Beach on May 10 and ends on May
12 in Washington, D.C.  Participants are required to raise $1250.00
each (a total of $12,500.00 for our department alone).   This money
will be contributed to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial
and to COPS (Concerns of Police Survivors) in an effort to assist the
families of those officers who have been killed in the line of duty.
Officers participating in the ride are:  Steve Carr, Jose Garcia,
Scott Gibson, Dianne Gittins, Walter Greene, Craig Melendez, Shawn
Quigley, Carlos Rolon, Dara Small and Carl Wortham.  Assisting the
riders as support units are Walter Powell and Mike Booth.  Show your
