The National Congress of Pedestrian Advocates will happen May 6-8 in downtown Silver Spring, MD.   Despite the title, this conference is of interest to professional planners involved in pedestrian safety as well as advocates.  Among the speakers are national leaders in the fields of pedestrian planning and engineering.  The program features sessions aimed at helping practitioners identify best practices, developing communication and educational tools, and building the skills of grassroots advocates.
