Greetings all,
Sorry to miss the last meeting but I was at the annual Chronic Disease Conference. I want to let you all know that this year there was great emphasis put on the idea of infrastructure developement as a necessity when promoting physical activity. It was very encouraging to see the continuing crossover between the disciplines and the paradigm shift in public health.

I went to a few classes that included transportation, recreation and health professionals discussing how they are creating active communities. AND one of the keynote speakers this week was Mark Fenton, a long time advocate for designing & creating active communities.

So, hope this little email brings a smile to your face and encourages you to keep up the work we are doing here in Alexandria.
