While Bill is not a bike crazy like many of us, he has been very interested and supportive of making the city more bicycle and pedestrian friendly and would represent our interests well. Dear Mayor and City Council:
I am writing to ask you to appointment Bill Hendrickson to fill the Planning District II vacancy on the Park and Recreation Commission.  Bill is an active participant making substantive and positive contributions  at many the public meetings in the city.  Among others, he has been active in the Potomac Yards development, open space planning, and tree preservation. I have found that he thoroughly examines all sides of the issue to work toward solutions that are fair, balanced, and in the best interest of the city as a whole.  With this background I believe that he would be a valuable addition to the Commission and hope that you see likewise by appointing him to this important position.
