> In an effort to alert our neighbors to the street closures required for
BikeDC, WABA will be asking citizens that live along the tour route to sign
a petition stating that they have been made aware of our event.  We need
your help to make this happen.  As a Petition Brigade volunteer you will be
asked to knock on doors to inform people of the closures of streets in their
neighborhoods on Sunday, September 23rd and invite them to ride along with
us.  WABA will provide you with a script for your outing as well as
complimentary registrations for those that sign the petition.  We also need
help gathering signatures at Eastern Market on Saturday morning, August 11th
from 9am until 12pm.  The following is a list of streets that need to be
covered:

> East Capitol from 3rd NE to RFK Stadium (16 blocks)
> Anacostia Ave NE (4)
> N Street SE from S. Cap to Half Street SW (1)
> R Street SW from 1st to 2nd SW (1)
> 2nd Street SW from R to P SW (2)
> Canal St from P to Delaware SW (1)
> Delaware from Canal to I St SW (1)
> I Street from Delaware to 4th SW (2)
> 4th Street SW from I to G (1)
> G Street SW from 4th to 7TH (1)

> The best times for petitioning are weekdays between 6pm and 8pm, and on
the weekends. All petition forms need to be returned to the WABA office by
September 3rd.  Brigade volunteers will receive a complimentary registration
