Are you planning on riding Bike Virginia this year? If so, why not be a
safety monitor. This involves manning a preassigned location that is
dangerous, or confusing, to give a warning, or directions, to cyclists. We
ask that you man a location for about 1 1/2 hours on three out of the five
days and wear an orange safety vest as you ride the route on those three
days giving cyclist friendly safety tips when you see a potentially
dangerous situation. You get a rebate of $40 on your registration fee and a
Bike Virginia volunteer T-shirt. If interested, please contact one of the
safety monitor co-chairs:
Bea Robinson bea-bike at usa.net
Chan Mohney Navajo549 at aol.com
Hope to see you on Bike Virginia
Thanks
