Governors Proclamation Ride

Reminder

Bruce Dwyer and Maitland Bottoms of the Alexandria Bicycle Committee are
biking
from Richmond to Alexandria to bring the
Governor's Bike Month Proclamation to Northern Virginia.  We will bring back
a proclamation for Alexandria and for Arlington.

Take off a little early from work and join us at Mount Vernon at
4:00 pm on Wednesday May 2.  Meet at the trailhead where it joins the
parking lot.  Or meet us at Belle Haven about 4:40 if you are really feeling
lazy.  We will ride the 10 miles as a group to Alexandria City Hall, where
we will present the proclamation to Mayor Kerry Donley in his office.
Option 2A, if we do not make it by 4:15 pm due to mechanical or physical
breakdown, go to City Hall and fake it with a rolled up piece of paper.  We
can deliver the real proclamation to the Mayor at Bike-to-Work Day.
