Is there a way to put a sign on the back of a bike route sign that says
something like:
Wrong way - bikes must ride in the direction of auto traffic
A second thought on the arrows on the pavement: Could we put a small arrow
at the end of the lane just before each intersection's crosswalk? In other
words, would that be sufficient warning to a bike turning left that the
rider to keep them out of this (the nearest) bike lane?

I would be in favor of the signs. There are too many well meaning folks out
there that still believe that you should ride like you walk, i.e. against
traffic. I think that the signs will be educational to all and an added
reminder that bikes belong.
