I woudl agree that we don't need the arrows, especially since Com Av has a

Rich Baier wanted a concensus from the Bike Committee regarding the use of
directional arrows on the Commonwealth Ave. bike lanes. The AASHTO
guidelines suggest that the bike symbol is necessary, however the
directional arrow is optional (p.32). His concern was that the directional
arrow may be too much signage for the neighborhoods the lane goes through.
Also bikes, as traffic, should only be moving in the direction of traffic
and not against it, so the arrow is redundant. What do you all think?
