Kevin

Particularly since you are a member of the Fairfax County NMTC, I am
concerned about you hesitance to 'mix' bikes and blades.

As a biker myself, I've occasionally had to slow to pass a skater. I found
they almost always coast when they hear 'bike passing'. I also use the
term 'bike' trail rather then the more appropriate 'multi-use' term.

I believe Jim Sebastian from MWCOG has vetted AAAFTS and Dr Osberg for NMTC.
Scott co-authored an earlier paper then the one presented to COG. It covers
how skates are used as a form of NMT. Please consider taking a quick look.
I say 'look' since the photo's in it tell the story.

... I am still not sure how I stand on mixing
bikes and blades on narrow paths, however am willing to discuss it.
