Hooff's Run Bridge and Temporary Jaimeson Ave Bike Path
This construction is being funded and completed by the developer of the
Carlyle site.  Suzanne has contacted Carlyle's engineer (PHRA) who is
managing the contractor performing the restoration of Hooff's Run Bridge.
PHRA is directing the contractor to finish all at grade work ASAP so that an
inspection of the bridge surface can be completed by TES.  As of Jan 24th,
the remaining at grade work includes installing a railing on the south side
of the bridge, fine grading the south embankment, and installing 40 ft. of
fencing on the south embankment.  The fine grading of the south embankment
is weather dependent.  Both the railing and fence are necessary safety items
that must be installed prior to opening the bridge to bikes and pedestrians.
Suzanne will stay in weekly contact with PHRA to access progress.  After the
City has inspected the work completed by Carlyle's contractor, the City's
paving contractor will extend the asphalt trail across the bridge to
Shurgard's property.
