Hi guys. I was home last weekend and Geoff and I rode by the bridge. It
will be great when it is finished. When I went by Elizabeth Wright was
there. I think she is the President of the Tarleton Civic Association. She
said the neoghbors are upset because they didn't realize the bridge was
going to be so big and because they say they were never consulted about the
bridge. I pointed out that the Holmes Run Committee had approved the bridge
plan as the representative organization for the area. I told her that if
memory served me right, the Holmes Run Comm. wrote a letter of approval. I
couldn't remember for sure, but I think that was the case. She was
surprised by that. Hope I was right. But that bridge does look good. The
neighborhood is also upset because it "takes such a big hunk out of the end
of that little park area.
Bruce, I distributed the brochures to a local bike shop and to the
Grandstand fitness center at Carlisle barracks. Over half of them are gone
at the Barracks already. more later, chan
