City of Alexandria
These numbers are from the 1998 Alexandria Bicycle Transportation and
Multi-use Trail Master Plan.  There have been some slight changes that we
have not measured yet.  These are very close.
Current inventory
off-street: 19 miles
on street: 19 miles
Total:        38 miles

Plan
off-street: 16 miles
on-street: 69 miles
total:        85 miles

note that reason for the decline in off-street is that we have undesignated
most sidewalks/sidepaths as off-street when it is safer to use the street.
