I think all the comments were good. The best part to me is the ability to
zoom in on an area. I had to move the image around to determine the streets,
however, because they get cut off. Even without a printer, I can trace the
route and write down the key streets, attractions and facilities.
You could look at the EPA Envirofacts web site and locate buldings with
chemical releases reported to the Toxic Release Inventory. It has a similar
mapping function. Try the sewage treatment plant at
http://www.epa.gov:9966/envirodcd/owa/mapping_pkg.map_page.
     Go to http://www.epa.gov/enviro/html/multisystem_query_java.html. Enter
alexandria in city space and VA in state, then click search. Amazing! Many
sites are in Fairfax County, though. Click on any facility in the list and then
ask it to map it. Have fun finding out what's in your backyard! Other info
pages for EFacts at http://www.epa.gov/enviro/html/ef_overview.html.
