Subject: Holmes Run Trail

Today (2000/03/07) the Holmes Run Trail had two major problems:

1) A huge tree fell, taking another with it, and they block the trail
between the tunnel under 395 and the Beauregard crossing (near Morgan St).

2) The low bridge over Holmes Run just NW of that crossing is under water.
It appears that the channels under the bridge are completely blocked.

I think both of these are in Alexandria City.  I would be glad to notify
the proper authority, but I have no idea who that might be!
