The District of Columbia Dept. of Public Works
is conducting a study of improvements to
Theodore Roosevelt Bridge. THERE WILL BE
AN OPEN HOUSE ON THE SUBJECT AT THE
WESTEND PUBLIC LIBRARY ON FEB. 1
FROM 12 - 8 PM. The library is location at 24th
and L Streets, NW. just above Washington
Circle, and the Foggy Bottom Metro.
The purpose of the open house is to solicit
public comment (subsequent written comments
are also accepted), and to present the results
of Phase One of the study, assessment of
present condition. It may be of particular
interest to bicyclists that the Kennedy Center
has requested new ramps providing better
access between their parking lots and the
bridge.
Given the importance to pedestrians and
bicycle commuters of the bike path on this
bridge I invite all of my fellow muscle powered
commuters to join me following this issue
closely.

when you wish.
